Shut-up and Macro Photography by Adrian Davies (Focal Press)
First once I read the title, it appeared to me that it is concentrating on totally different camera and lighting methods for macro photography. It contains these topics, but also gives you a greater thought about pictures workflow, from the pre-production, set up, shot and put up-production. Maybe just a little bit too much normal information for one book in case your focus is the pictures of close-up and macro photography.
The structure of the chapters could be very simple to follow. It is speaking about picture chapter, lenses, digital camera help, lighting, macro studio and workflow. Again, it seemed like there's a lot too much element about normal images quite than focusing on extra important things and taking to more time clarify them. The guide is obvious and exact, step by step. Like page 21 with the spot metering explanation, it is great for the reader to know that you must focus your meter (in this case spot meter) on the butterfly to get the best exposure. It is explained well and the photographs help to know it even more.
Overall, I feel that the guide is for learners with some superior knowledge. The half about depth of area, the sensor plain, plain of sharp focus, the lighting rays might be slightly bit too much for the starter in photograph, however I believe it's actually interesting and if you wish to enhance your pictures by understanding what occurs when you click on the shutter, even necessary. All in all, I had fun reading it and likewise got some good reminders out of it.
